I have a Colt Agent (a snub-nosed, alloy-frame .38 with a Parkerized finish, a variation of the Colt Cobra). I understand that you should not use +P ammo in it because of the alloy construction. However, some folks have told me that Remington Silvertip +P's actually aren't truly +P's and should be safe to use in it. Any experience or thoughts?
Also, I assume it would be OK to use that kind of ammo in a S&W Model 36 Chief's Special because of its steel construction, right? TIA.
