  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Alright Ladies and Gents,

I know you guys have been wondering where I've been (haha right), but the college life has taken over. No, no I don't mean partying and waking up in random female beds (uhh) but just the stress of exams coming up within the month, and registering for new classes. These factors, along with girl issues have prevented me from taking time to myself, smoking a fine cigar, and letting all you know what I felt about it.

This stick is an Ambos Mundos 6' by I'd say about 50 RG

This stick has a nice medium brown color, with a few dark spots present on the wrapper. From the start, there is a medium to tight draw, which stays consistent throughout the entire stick.

This stick lit well, and had nice quantities of smoke. The taste was quite spicy and nutty right from the start. I notice a sweet cream aroma emanating from the end of the stick.

It is a bitter cold day here on the UAlbany campus!

The second third is still spicy with a nice cream undertone if that makes any sense.

The stick finishes quite nice with spice extremely prevalent through the nose, with a familiar creamy spicy finish at the end.

Overall, this was a delicious stick. I love the notes that I received from it - spice and nuttiness. I would give this cigar a solid 85/100

Enjoy all!

-Dave

I have to agree with everyone else, the Ambos Mundos Robusto and Toro No. 2 have become my everyday go to cigars!

Dave, just in case you weren't aware, the Toro you tried and reviewed (a mighty fine review I might add) was the Toro No. 2 (darker band).

These cigars come in two sizes - robusto and toro - and are available with a Nicaraguan Habano wrapper (No.1) or an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper (No.2) for a total of 4 vitolas.

Very interesting there Larry, I will definitely add that to my notes to refer back to in the future. Maybe I'll look for the toro in the Nic Habano wrapper...too bad my local B&M doesn't sell tats or anything of the sort. I'll have to hunt them down!

Thanks for the comments all!
