Not the mad fladder!
First I need to thank Jerome (Darkman) for hitting me with this cigar.
The #2 is a nice little torp size (5.5X52) of the new El Triunfador blend. The wrapper is very smooth and feels silky to the touch. Prelight the cigar had a nice sweet tobacco aroma. After lighting I was greeted with a very smooth creamy cedar with nutty finish. I would say this is a light bodied cigar but the flavor is going really well with my morning cup of joe. There is a grassy barnyard twang that I start to notice through the nose but no real spice kick that most Pete gars offer.
The 2/3 of the smoke is still very smooth, and I noticed that the finish on the palate is very clean. The sweet nutty flavor is starting to pick up some and I do notice hints of graham cracker that others have mentioned (was fleeting but I did pick it up because I was looking for it).
The final third the cigar just seems to get sweeter as it reaches the nub. The nutty flavor was still there and I was picking up some sweet tea notes. Both flavors continued to gain strength all the way down to the end.
I really enjoyed this cigar which was surprising because I prefer a stick with more body, but this was a welcome change of pace. People who pick this cigar up looking for the normal Pete flavor profile might be slightly dissapointed so I don't think this gar will be for everyone. Personally I think it will be a nice first smoke of the day or early morning cigar to have with my coffee.
Sorry for the cell phone pics!!
