Well hello there everyone!
Another review for this windy day in Albany!
It poured all night and for the most part of the morning, but suddenly, the skies cleared up and it was sunny! I think it was a sign that I should have a cigar.
Today I smoked a Black Pearl Morado cigar. This is my second that I've ever had. and it was just as I remembered. The cigar was packaged nicely, with a sleeve of cedar and a purple "ribbon" on the foot. This cigar was a medium to light brown color, and had a slight bit of toothiness to it. It also had a couple of spots, but that didn't really effect anything in the construction. It had a nice, sweet tobacco smell to it. I also noticed that when I took off the cedar sleeve, the color under it was a bit darker than the exposed tobacco. No big deal, I'm just not sure what would cause it. It had a relatively loose draw as well which I prefer over tighter.
This cigar lit up nicely, and I picked up some light, woody flavors from the beginning along with a subtle spice through the nose. The smoke from the cigar left my mouth a bit dry, and the back of my throat a bit tingly. The ash was a light grey specked with brown, and was pretty solid. this cigar was quite a fast burner! The ambient smoke had a sweet caramelized scent, which was a but uncharacteristic of the actual flavor. Very pleasant to smell in my opinion. Towards the end of the first third, I start to pick up some cedary notes, which might be from the sleeve that it was wrapped in.
In the second third, the spice begins to build a little more which I always enjoy. Similar flavors as the first third, but at one point in the cigar, I tasted a small hint of cinnamon which was quite strange.
The final third was very similar to the second third. Not much to report on there. I took a walk around campus, and found the bench that started off the name "Review From the Bench".

Ok well overall I enjoyed this cigar. It burned a bit fast, and was on the less complex side, but I enjoyed the spice and the woodiness of it. It was quite nice looking too!
