Hey there everyone!

So I was checking weather.com for a break in this frigid weather so I could smoke a stick. It was supposed to be a warm 38 degrees...the only thing I didn't count on though was the wind!

So yesterday I smoked my first CAO Brazilia, and I definitely didn't enjoy it as much as I expected. This stick is a dark, oily brown color, and firm to the touch. The foot was a bit cracked, b/c I carried around with me for a bit, but no big deal.

I had a bit of studying to do, so I sat outside in the freezing, windy, Albany weather to smoke.

The light was a bit difficult due to the weather, but I eventually got it lit. It started off very tasty. Nice, deep, earthy flavors, with a hint of spice through the nose. My flavor profile might have been off due to the cold, but bear with me.

Nice expression huh...

Similar earthy flavors follow through in the second third, accompanied by a sweet, bourbon-like flavor in the smoke.

The spice also came through a bit more in the second third, which added very well to the earthy flavors already present.

The wrapper split a touch due to the cold, but didn't really affect the smoking.

I had to cut it short because my fingers were going numb, but overall it was an ok smoke. I'll definitely have to pick another one up when I go home in the summer, and review it under different weather conditions.

Hope you guys enjoyed the review! See ya next time around.

-Dave

Great review. I have several of these and have yet to set fire to one of them. Maybe tomorrow is the day for that. Thanks again for the great review.

I've had the Piranha, before. It was pretty good. Wrapper tried to unravel on me a little after clipping. I had some nice dark, rich flavors in it, as well as that spiciness. I really enjoyed it, but got harsh about half way through. I would like to try them again, sometime. I actually have a gifted Cuban press version sitting in my humi, now. Thanks for the great review, Dave!

In my NOT SO HUMBLE opinion...you missed the BEST part! But if you're fingers were freezing I understand...I LOVE the Brazilia line...and the last 1/3 is AWESOME to me!

very nice review. This was once my "go to" cigar. I still have a few anacondas aging.
