Alright ladies and gents,
Just a quick review here -
Last Sunday I smoked a PDR Reserva Limitada.
This stick is a nice medium brown, with slight marbilization in the wrapper. The pre-light draw tasted of sweet leather. It's a firm cigar with almost no give. Medium veins also present. Throughout the cigar, it held a beautiful white ash, and it burned very evenly, though quickly.
1/3: This cigar starts off with a nice cocoa flavor and a sweet short leathery finish. A touch of light wood is coming through as well. Nice and simple flavors so far. Virtually zero spice through the nose which is a nice change from the peppery sticks I have been smoking lately. The draw is fine, but not producing tons of smoke. Towards the end of the first third, there is a slight tingle of spice through the nose. The ambient smoke has a smell like freshly roasted coffee beans from the local care. Ash fell at about the end of this section.
Just my luck....
2/3: The flavor profile stays relatively consistent. Slight cocoa with a cedar finish. Farther along, the cigar really started to sweeten up. A molasses flavor is present along with cocoa. Nice cedar-earth aftertaste as well. This stick is a great burner, although not terribly exciting. Getting some nice sweet spices on the tip of my tongue and through my nose.
3/3: The flavors are starting to bitter up a bit. Some bourbon flavors with the familiar cocoa undertones. Flavors stayed pretty much the same until the end, but it picked up in strength and body a bit.
This cigar was alright. Nothing to jump for joy about. Definitely a good, clean burning cigar though. I would like to try another before I decide if I like it or not. I have another in the humi waiting for me, and I'll probably smoke that later this month.
Thanks for reading!!
