Not the mad fladder!
Decided it was time to sample the new Tat red tubo. The cigar was very well constructed and the head of the cigar was slightly mashed from the tube but not to the point where it would effect the cigar after clipping (one from the box has a busted foot and head and will be a task to save).
After lighting I was tasting cedar with a pepper and cinnamon spice. The first few puffs lacked depth but after the first half inch this stick really begins to build some character. Pepper, cayenne, and cinnamon nicely blended together to give that retrohale kick that I love in most Tat cigars. At the half way point during the smoke the spice has faded out to let a creamy smooth, almost sweet cedar flavor shine. The final third I was tasting a sweet toffee candy with a grassy twang. Coffee and leather flavors begin to develope and strengthen down to the nub.
The burn on this cigar was jagged the entire smoke and required multiple touchups to keep it in line. The combustion issues were the only downside to the smoke. It was a very cold and windy day so I am hoping that this was the culprit. Looking forward to burning a few more of these when the weather improves!
Sorry for the cell phone pics!
