  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I think this will either go down as Belichick's biggest coup or his biggest mistake.

He is making huge money and probably would have demanded even more, so we have a little more flexibility than we did and its nice to get what will probably be a high first-round pick in 2011, but damn...he's still Richard Seymour, man.

Seymour leaving is big. On the radio they were sayn they probably wouldn't be able to resign him so letting him go for a first is better than letting him go for nothing. Also its in Bill we trust till he makes the BIG mistake.
As for Dave Thomas he is a blocking TE with ok hands in the red zone. He was just the odd man out around here.

hate to see him go to the raiders, but they are awful. you're gonna get a HIGH draft choice. it's interesting that pioli didn't want him.

The raiders are not as bad as they look. With seymour the d-line is greatly improved against the running game. Russel will get better and the AFC west is winnable for them. It's arrogance for Belechek to let him go with Brucci retiring earlier this week.

Seymour didn't fit into the Patriots "team first" approach when it comes to salaries. On top of that the Pats are confident enough in themselves that they can find someone else to play the positions. They have proven themselves over and over that they can find talent everywhere at any potion.

I just hope they didn't let Seymour go in order to pay Wilfork. Also, please ditch Maroney. The rest of the Pats' RBs are better.

I'm worried about NE's defense. The wily old vets are all gone: Harrison, Vrabel, Bruschi, Seymour. Some of the new(er) guys show promise, but they're not proven yet.

OTOH, the offense is going to be on a search and destroy mission...
