  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I was asked if I would do a few blind reviews and post up my thoughts on the cigars. The weather has been good the past few days, so I was able to get one in each of the last three days. I will say that the past couple of days were pretty windy, especially yesterday. So the burns may have been affected by that.

This cigar was my favorite of the three. The flavors reminded me of an Opus X, but not as strong.

Sitting at home, this cigar looked darker, more like a maduro. Getting in some better light, it looks kind of like a Sumatra wrapper. Seems like this vigar wasn't ready to smoke.

The flavors were similar to #1, but the construction seemed to really affect the smoke. Strong winds and thin fill probably led to the short smoke time.

Wow...pretty cool set of reviews. Tough cookie to crack...a lot of CC and NC traits. Nice work Bob and Jere
Wrappers all look like NC to me. And they all tasted NC to me...would be a shock of they were CC. First seemed to be Dominican; the second seemed to be Nicaraguan; the third seemed like it could have been Dominican, but the pepper makes ne lean toward Nicaraguan. But only Bob knows.

Would doubt that...there is a good chance he just sent you three cigars that have been in the humi with no markings for a couple years and he has no idea now:)

Nice reviews And pics as always, Jere. Is Gramps going to share what the sticks were or did he already forget?

actually, no great secret here. just wanted an objective opinion. all three are house blends done by the owner of the outlaw. i tended to like the first blend the best as well. but the others aren't bad for house sticks.
