  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Thanks to E for this cigar. He smacked me with it after I fell into the "I've Never Had..." trap. I finally had an opportunity to smoke this cigar yesterday. I thought it was a very good cigar, especially since they departed from making a puro, and went with tobacco from four countries.

I bought a box of these after reading this review. Glad I did. This stick has more cedar flavor than any cigar I've smoked, but it isn't overpowering, and it is enhanced with subtle other flavors - just like the review. Great job.

CUENCA y BLANCO (CyB):

Very nice review indeed and wonderful photos as well. In regard to the question from FourtotheFlush about ANY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN CUENCA Y BLANCO AND "CyB" - let me tell you this: In regard to the blend, the two sticks are exactly the same. Only the band is different. HOWEVER, when the Cuenca y Blanco hit the cigar shops in the very very beginning we did in fact receive some calls for sticks that were a little tight on the draw. Not plugged, but a bit tight on the Robusto and I think the Toro. The issue was quickly straigtened out. So, the CyB blend is only different in that 100% of the production NEVER had ANY Robustos or Toros with some tightness in the draw.

I know that this is not exactly what FTTF was asking, but I thought that it was worth mentioning cause as you may or may not know, JD done declared war on tight cigars many years ago and I am proud to say that DE and JdN are drawing 100% on the mark right now.

Finally - I know that the Forum Guys and the Bloggers are not always the same crew, but the CONSENSUS 25 Dropped last night late and CyB ranked Number 1 from the 53 blogs together.

All the best,
JD

It's about time someone showed some respect to the CyB. Its one of the best smokes around and has a spot in my top 5 list.

Sent from my Galaxy S3 while getting a blumpkin!
