  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This is the third of the new Connecticut wrapper MFLB's available from Federal Cigar. Now, this one in particular was originally available as one of the Federal 91st Anniversary cigars. Even though I had reviewed that cigar, I went ahead and reviewed this one for the sake of comparison. I also felt it important for comparison to the PR and CG versions. I really enjoyed the 91st, and as expected, I really enjoyed this re-run. How does it compare to the PR and CG you ask? Well, right now the PR takes the top spot, with the Cervantes in second. As I have said, I am a big fan of the CG size, in general, but the CG I smoked from this set was quite different. I wonder if perhaps they were the most recent cigars rolled, and they just need some time. It was a little surprising to see how similar the Cervantes and PR are to one another, while the CG differs in strength and flavor level.

Thanks for the write-up. I like the way you do reviews. I noticed the 91st is more expensive than the newer house blend and was curious about the difference. I'm going to visit Federal next month and will definitely try 'em all :)
