Yesterday, I had the opportunity to smoke the Federal Cigar MFLB Petit Robo wrapped with an Ecuadorian Connecticut leaf. Today, I smoked the bigger brother of that cigar...a Corona Gorda size. I was eager to try this one, after the amazing smoke the Petit Robo provided. I feel that the Corona Gorda is the best size, in general, but of course there are times when a certain blend shines brighter in a different vitola.
Well, unfortunately this is one of those times. The flavors in the CG size were similar to the PR, however, the Petit Robo takes that flavor, as well as the strength, up a notch. This CG did taste green to me mainly in the first third. Most likely these were pretty fresh, and of course a longer cigar can take a little more time to develop. I plan to revisit this one later, and see how it changes. For now....the Petit Robo would be my go to.
Thanks again to Rick and Federal Cigar for these to review.
