kockroach
BoM August 2010/2011
It has been a little while since I had gotten my Tatuaje Anarchy....hadn't smoked one yet. Well, yesterday felt like a good day, with the fact that there was over 16" of snow on the ground from "Snowmaggedon".
The Anarchy, as many of you probably know, was created for Smoke Inn. This 6 1/8 inch long figurado goes from 48 to 52 ring gauge, and features an oily Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. The head is covered with a twisted and coiled cap. The construction is quite good, and the cigar feels firm in the hand.
The pre-light draw tasted of leather with a slight pepper burn on the tongue. The first third of the Anarchy had a dominate taste of cocoa, mixed with leather. A little bit of pepper and spice mixed within the background. The burn was fairly good, but did waver a little, and required a touch up or two. The ash was fairly white as the cigar burned.
Moving to the second third, the cocoa almost disappeared. The main flavor was now leather, mixed with a bit of coffee. Spice (some of it cinnamon) was a little stronger, while the pepper stayed around the same level as before.
The final third still was dominated by the leather flavor, and now it had a taste of dry leaves, which complemented, not detracted from the flavor. There was now stronger pepper on the back of the tongue, with a little spice mixed within.
I was pretty impressed with the Anarchy. I think it had a good combination of flavor and strength (med-full by the end). I had been watching the movie Patton while smoking this cigar...and if you know that movie, you know it is pretty long. This cigar lasted me almost through the entire movie. It lasted 2 hours and 45 mins....it never sat such that it could go out.
