  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Just picked up the new Room 101 Johnny Tobacconaut at my B&M. Price: $14 (that includes our outrageous NY State tobacco tax). :facepalm: Caveat: I am by no stretch of the imagination an aficionado, and it's usually difficult for me to identify what I'm tasting. That said, I picked up rather nice nuances of horseradish and mustard in the first and second thirds of this stick. It's pretty tasty to my unrefined palate. (y)

Presentation was pretty cool (I believe this is a figurado). Cold draw was just right; construction and burn were nice and consistent!

Verdict: 7/10. It's a solid stick. Nice change of pace.

Value: 6/10. I'd wait for it to go on sale. Good, but not $14 good...;)

Brother inlaw, myself, and I think even @Iholmes thought it was a pretty decent stick. It doesn't taste like most Nicaraguan Puro's I've tried, but still thought it was tasty.

I enjoyed it, very spongy which was odd but the flavors were there.... @ZippoGeek you've got the big one they are making and out here they are charging $17.99 for those in the b&m. I had the middle sized one and like you said I would wait for the price to drop to around $10 to have more. Definitely worth a try tho

I was gifted and smoked one of these on New Year's Day and I have to admit that I was intrigued enough to pick up a second one for a review. While the stick lacked complexity, the flavor profile was in my wheelhouse. I will smoke and rate the next one on Monday and decide if it is fiver worthy.
