I have to say. I'm a big fan of the band on this one. Right away, looking at it makes me want to smoke the cigar.
Band shots:
Preflight smell is sweet hay. The preflight draw offers some cedar and a spice on the lips.
First third:
The first third has a strong cocoa taste as well as a cedar and nice peppery spice on the retrohail. The smoke leaves your mouth feeling dry, so you'll want a drink with this one. I had water. You should have coffee or scotch. The finish has a lingering espresso and cedar taste that lasts between draws. The cigar itself produces tons of smoke on the draw, but not a ton off the foot. Which is something I like. I want to puff out clouds of smoke, but I don't like when the foot is smoking so much it's burning my eyes. The ash falls off on its own about every inch. Towards the end of the first third I'm getting a distinctly floral taste starting to come in.
Second third:
Flavors are mostly the same but that floral taste is coming in more followed by a citrus on the finish. This is becoming pretty complex. The cocoa and cedar are still the dominant. The spice has all but disappeared on the retrohail but is still slightly there. It adds a nice balance to the rest of the cigar. The flavors stepped up from a medium to a full at this point. Everything was very distinct and easy to pick out.
Final third:
This cigar is finishing in at a nice medium strength medium to full body. It's still delivering the same awesome flavors and it's constructed beautifully. Razor sharp burn the entire time no relights or corrections needed. I let this one go out sooner than I would have liked but my son woke up from his nap and it was time to go be a Dad.
Where I stopped
Overall:
This is a great cigar with very strong flavors and not a lot of vitamin N. It's one you can smoke anytime of the day. If you have the time. Lol. I have smoked more of them and will continue to smoke more of them. I give it a 9.5 out of 10.
