King Kill 33
BoM Dec '13
Smoked a Mutante of the MC Two the other day. Tim or Andy (Tag9485), will compliment this review with his own notes soon too. I don't post reviews hardly ever because of my poor word smithing skillz, so bear with me...
Here's my review bro. Copy/paste/add/subtract on your review as you see fit. No pics as I was too focused on smoking this thing!
Appearance:
Rough and rustic looking wrapper with decent amount of veins throughout.
Construction:
Not very firm, almost worried about the sponginess of a few spots when I squeeze, but hey, it's a Lancero and they're difficult to roll. We'll see how she burns...
1st 3rd:
Cedar and caramel. Just enough spice to keep it med-full strength. Great smoke output and straight burn.
2nd 3rd:
Cedar gives way to earth, but caramel still present. Spice subsides slightly with faint hints of apple cinnamon coming through. Burn still great!
3rd 3rd:
Earth, caramel and cedar take a back seat to a nutty, toasted marshmallow taste. Very nice. Also, the starchy potato taste that I usually find in the first third of the Daruma and Master Collection 1 is apparent in this final third. The final third is where this cigar really stands out in complexity. Also, I found it convenient that the band was removed with zero effort.
Overall:
Although I was only slightly concerned with the construction of this stick, it burned beautifully start to finish. No relights were necessary, and with a Lancero, this is a bonus in my books. This cigar has a lot going on in the last half. Very full in terms of flavor here, but don't discount the first half as it is a solid smoke as well. Box worthy to say the least.
Time: 1hr 15minutes
Score, not that it means much: 93
