I bought a bunch of them a while back. Haven't had that happen yet. I bought a bundle of 2nd's recently, they've all been excellent.

You got a rare dud.

I always punch mine, maybe that could be why.

punching would not produce as much smoke, not enough to effect it.. but it would have no bearing on the consistancy of the draw. dont fret you just got a tight stogie, try another and you should be good

All of mine have been great--which size did you smoke? I've found the lancero to be a nearly effortless draw, and the toro nearly as good. It's a great stick, imo. Pretty unique to my tastes anyway--tastes like cashews.

I have a half box of the torpedos left and I have never had a problem with them. I think you might have just had a bad stick.

I had a Fusion which performed up to expectations, similar to Decade, but Decade is better...
Decade is Decade, like Power is Power. If you want a creamy smooth rich smoke, take any good medium to full bodied selection and age it 9 or 10 years. Then they'll taste like Felipe's Power, but richer.
Patience is a virtue, but who's got Patience nowadays? Me.
