I thought Oliva might be having a new high-end line coming out, but I'm not sure.TYLER
Series V Ligero Especial , not sure how "public" that is, but the pre-release herfs are advertised...
Speaking of which, was at the local (Top Shelf Cigar Company, Skippack Village, PA) pre-release herf last Thursday. Let me just say... oh... my... gosh!
That stick was awesome! They're one of the smoothest
full bodied sticks I've EVER had <cough> makes Camachos seem like smoking hot air with shrapnel, but <cough> you didn't hear it from me... <cough> good cigar...
Seriously, very strong leather components, "milder" (emphasis on the mild-ER, as it was in no way mild!) tastes of roasted nuts and while I didn't get it, many different guys claimed a roasted meat flavor... sweet- spice on the nose, but not a maduro- sweet, more a nutmeg-ish thing... mild white- pepper throughout that builds as it is smoked. Very heavy room- aroma (i.e. my wife said "Eww, you stink! Shower! NOW!" when I came home...). Almost too full for me - I'm a hoover on cigars, and you simply can't with this thing - but it's so smooth that it has literally NO bite! The body is in the feel on the stomach about a half hour into it... about 10 seconds before you start swaying...
Anyhow, sorry for the hijack... wow, what a tangent -- enjoy the RTDA and if you see anything interesting from Felipe Gregorio (the "leopard" in the 'pelo de oro' and 'power' lines, or especially if he finally crossed into fuller bodied sticks) it would be awesome. Pretty big on the other side of the pond (the UK, that is), but the US hasn't really caught on... yet...
Just my 2 cents worth, several times over (again, sorry for the hijack)
