Prelight: Fruity floral sweetness, light peppermint, cedar and hay

1st 1/3
Lots of smoke and perfect draw, light spice, white pepper, smokey oak wood, sweet cedar and toasty nuts, with a light body smoke.
Medium gray ash burning very straight

2nd 1/3
Smokey oak wood dominate the flavor profile now with a bit of toffee, coffee cream and mildly sweet

Final 1/3
More earthy and leathery mixed with the coffee and smokey wood notes and slight pepper
It’s definitely something new for me, having never had a Sam Leccia cigar before and will want more and trying the Black soon also.

Smoked through a 5 pack of the toros. I like this cigar very much! Nice cedar undertones top quality construction. The blacks seem to have a much firmer draw to them.

The Black I hear has a lot of pepper that I try to stay away from

It's the fire cured tobacco thing that didn't appeal to me. Couldn't even finish it. I can only imagine what the KFC will be like. Probably something like the Black on steroids. Love Drew Estate, but I'll probably have to pass on that one.

The Blacks have a strong smokey flavor but are also a touch harsh. They have a strong peppery undertone but on par with say your typical Pepin. They do have a really nice aroma. I don't care for them as much because they have a firmer draw than I prefer.
