Okay so let me start off by saying this is an on the fly review. I had no intentions of reviewing this cigar when I lit it up. Also this is the first one I have smoked while sober. Lol.
A little background on the cigar : Schizo cigars are handmade in Nicaragua by Asylum cigars. With all Nicaraguan tobaccos. They are a venture between Tom Lazuka and Christian Eiroa (former president of Camacho cigars) these cigars a super cheap bundle cigars. A buddy of mine got a bundle of 20 in robusto for like 17$ that's .85 cents a cigar and I got a bundle of Sixtys for 36$ I got mine from the botl sponsor site famous smoke.
On the construction. It is what its is lol. Its a Cuban sandwiche style cigar. They are ok. The draw is consistent (a little loose) the burns a little wonky at times. The cap is sloppy. There is slight tears sometimes. The ash while powdery does hold on well.
The cracks in the wrapper were there before lighting. I just forgot to take photos first. The binder held just fine though and it smoked with no issues.
This is a mild to medium stick.
The pre light draw didn't have much of anything except a dry tobacco. The cigar is 6x60 and I toasted the foot and lit the cigar with a single flame torch.
1st 3rd
Oh my. I was so surprised I had to do a review. Lol. Right off the bat I got a super nice smooth tobacco and sweet cream (tasted like half and half, but not too over powering) on the draw. The flavor was absolutely amazing. I haven't had a cigar this cheap taste this good. It tasted like a much more expensive cigar. The finish was sweet tobacco and a hint of wood holding for well over a minute. The smoke was super thick and oily and so much that it looked like I was smoking a hookah. The foot also put off a good bit of sweet woody smelling smoke.
2nd 3rd
The second third was exactly the same but, the smoke thinned out to a normal consistency and the foot is putting off less smoke between draws.
The Final 3rd
The final 3rd picked up a little bit of a peppery zing on the tip of the tongue and lost the sweet cream. The cream was replaced by a savory meatyness and wood. With a core smooth tobacco.
Overall I'd give this a solid 5. Middle of the road. If the construction was better it would be a 7 for sure. I lit the it at 12:30 and let it die at 1:43 all in all not a bad burn time. I have yet to see a dollar stick out shine this one though. And I smoke a lot of cheapos out in the yard.
