I'm starting to experiment with shell casings a punches. Here are a couple of prototypes. One is a .44 and the other is a .301. The cable is used to discard the plug. It needs some refinement, but worked just fine on this 50 rg Upmann.

I did this once and ever since I've wanted to come up with a keychain casing punch
On another note I've been toying with the idea of a Casing Capper for home rolls but I don't have ammo knowledge to know where to begin. @Hopduro or @BrewinHooligan any ideas?

Not a bad idea, I imagine you would need a 50bmg though to have a large enough diameter.
I have made a few casing punches out of 7.62x54r although I'm lazy and never knocked out the primer to make some sort of way to push the cap back out. They work good for sure!

I had this thought too, don't want to be ingesting lead if you can avoid it.
Most primers contain lead as well. Not worth the risk for me. I've had high lead levels in the past... now I try to make sure that doesn't happen again.
