Anyone know what the usual ship time is for them? I placed an order 10/3/05 and it shipped this past Wed. 10/12. That is a long ass time, but anyway when should my order be here?

yeah, ravi lags forever -- it seems -- but he has a new shipping method that normally reaches you in about 4 days. what he's doing now is placing the intact box inside a cardboard box with stickers that make it seem like phillipine cigars. they are declared as cigars, so they move through customs faster. I do not know if you'll be getting a customs bill in the mail later, however.

what did you get?

Romeo Y Julieta Hermosos No. 2
Partagas 8-9-8 (Varnished)
Montecristo -C EL's

Hopefully all will go smoothly. How is the lineup that I ordered?

Ravi's new shipping is not working out to well. I just saw a few photos of the exterior of his "fake" boxes with a box of cubans inside that had ALL been broken in two and used as tabacco packing peanuts to hold the cuban box inside of the "faux" box. The package in question was sent this way by Customs to the end user. Maybe it took longer for Ravi to ship your smokes b/c he was trying to figure out the best way to send them.

here is the link to a thread about this over @ VCC

Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

guys, if you order from bill at www.finestcubancigars.com he will price match anything from ravi, promo, etc. he dispatches orders in less than two days and he doesn't hammer your card until he ships. you can order intact, original box and bands opened for inspection, or reband/reboxed. his listed prices on his site are high because that includes courrier delivery, but if he price matches for you get it via registered mail and he gives you a tracking number as well. stuff usually reaches me in 4-6 days after dispatch.

tell him you are my friend and maybe he'll toss some sticks from his private reserve for you.

Mike, what stops the individual Habanos stores from shipping under the table so to speak?

Nothing. But and there is a big But....A new company or sister corporation must be formed to deal with profits, orders, etc.. before an e-commerce store is set up. Any e-commerce funds cannot be mixed in with the parent company who orders, distributes, and reports to Cuba/habanos SA/ Altidas. Just part of the LCDH franchise agreements.

Have a great weekend yall

yeah mike, it's guaranteed delivery regardless of it being intact or not. I believe he recently listed some ryj robustos with some crazy box code. I would stay away from any of those boxes, regardless of the vendor...unless they had a steep premium leading me to believe they were being set aside for aging. far too many questionable EL boxes that mysteriously pop up: partagas piramides, cohiba piramides, ryj robustos, etc.

but his regular stuff and some special stuff (cohiba 35th singles) are great. he sold me two boxes of the best recent production psd4s I've had in a while. they were really light wrapper and super intense in flavor and power.

I think so. you'll be getting the rest of your loot tomorrow, dude. I didn't want to be lugging my 5 ct otterbox around and you saw how I had them all rolled up inside the sports page at the fair, hahaha.

I just got my Montecristo C's in and they are in perfect shape. I don't know why I only have one box out of my three, but I am hoping they are just lagging behind and nothing else is going on. But hell, at least one box made it! I will give one a whirl this weekend.

I got the others today and all are in great shape!

Scott and I smoked a Monte C on Sat. I thought it was a good smoke and when I am drinking less I will smoke another one to see if I feel the same. I know Scott's was plugged and that probably hurt him a little bit, although I have heard he can suck pretty hard!

Did you see him working over that Opus? He'd make Jenna Jameson proud.
