Shipping COD?

I am going to be purchasing some cigars from someone I don't know. I wanted to suggest he ship them to me COD. Anyone know how much this costs and/or what this entails? TIA :riflefire

It can be done through a courier service. Not sure about UPS or DHL.

I suggested it to the seller and he said "no". He said it's too risky for him. Wonder how that would be? Guess I have a decision to make. :scratchhe

COD can be risky for the seller depending on the intelligence of the delivery person. I've paid COD's with personal checks and one time I did not pay at all - he just dropped it off on my front porch.

UPS will charge a COD fee of like $7.00 plus the normal freight. I have never shipped COD when comes to cigars. I have prepaid someone on the boards when I was the buyer and had the newer guys do the same with me before sending the cigars. Never had a problem before.

It's not a guy from a cigar board. I came across his web site from something he was selling on ebay and saw some pics of cigars he had. He had some very htf cigars that I have always wanted to try and so I emailed him about them. We agreed to a deal. That's why I was thinking COD. :clap:
