  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Now that I am getting involved in trading a little bit. I was wondering about shipping.
What are you guys using to ship say 5-10 cigars?
I don't imagine you are buying and throwing in cigar cases for each drop, so how are you stuffing your boxes? What size boxes?
Since it ships quick, are you worrying about humidity packs and things like that? I don't imagine your all throwing in bovedas are you?

i use the priority mail boxes,,, they're free,,, come in a variety of sizes, more notably the vhs size and the next one up! as for wrapping your cigars, a lot of the guys have the ziplock baggies that are prefabed in 3- or 5-count sleeves. then wrap in bubble wrap, pack, seal, and send! if you don't have the pre-fab baggies, put them into a regular ziplock, wrap, pack, seal, and send. as for humidity, it depends on where/how many you're sending! i usually don't bother, but i have received numerous boxes that did have a pack of some sort.

hope this helps!

You get any size you want free on the usps page. I mostly use the video cassette size or the next size up.

I shipped my trade in a box from a Tinderbox order that came this week! Ziplock in bubble wrap, peanuts. I try to be careful. I had a humidi-pak around so I put one in the zip. Enjoy!

There is a great thread/sticky at the top of the trader forum that lists everything you'll need, but usps with delivery confirmation is only $4.60 online. $4.85 if you go in to the post office.
