Shredding on bass?

o man ! I remember listening to some Adrian Belew during my fusion phase. Was diggin Robert Fripp & League of Gentlemen around then. 1981, while everybody else was into disco.
Sara Lee was the "chick bassist" for them ( also "Gang of Four" ) I'll find some shred / sorta from her.
here u go. Busy bass here. Dig it.

I know these are cellos, but we're gonna fudge and call it a bass. And they're definitely shredding.
Well how many of these videos so they have? Because after watching this and The Trooper I'm pretty sure I'm not getting my life back until I have watched them all.

Love me some thunder fingers. Got to see him play a couple times before he passed. There are some great isolated bass tracks on Youtube. Flea from RHCP is incredible.
