  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

i would REALLY recommend against them. only cigar cut i have ever had that DECREASED the ammount of flavor i was getting from a cigar. AND they go too far i to the cap for my liking, increasing the odds of a construction issue.

i tried it across three different cigars i was familiar with, and smoked the same cigar again with a straight or bullet cut after. flavors were thin and muted.

mind you, just my experience. but my vote is stay away.

I have used one several times, & I have to say that it is my least favorite cut option. Most of the time, it has a tendency to shred the cap, and it doesn't always open the cigar up enough. Also, most of them are useless on anything with a chisel. If you can get one cheap, go for it, check it out, see if you like it, but I will definitely be sticking with my V, guillotine, and punch.

I heard someone had used it and not realizing one of the blades came out, when he went to take a puff, he cut his lip.

After batting it around with my tobacconist he says also to stay away. I haven't tried it but every time I ask I get told the same thing. Don't do it.
