  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Broadleaf binder and hand-selected Dominican and Nicaraguan long filler tobaccos, highlighted by a robust Ecuadorian Cubano wrapper.

Had to give this smoke a try since it's new in the market & the price point was great. A very coarse & toothy but oily Colorado cream looking wrapper. Almost a flaw less cigar & a prefect roll, with a shape edge burn. This smoke was actually pleasant, not over powering but at the same time enjoyable. Some of the characteristics you would expect from Nicaraguan and Dominican tobacco, hints of spicy, woodiness, dry but cool sweet smoke. Fantastic ash, majority of the ash was white and able to hold its own.

I've been wanting to try them--I've heard they're really tasty.

Unfortunately, I just can't get past the absolutely laughable packaging.

I'm hoping that's sarcasm.:smokingbo
no, because when I saw this cigar in the shop, I stuck my nose up to it. Then my buddy and the shop owners were talking about it, and how new the blend is etc. I had to try it, and actually broke my "cigar ego"; gotta try everything and giving it a chance without dismissing it until you've tried it.

This stick has several things going against it prior to even lighting it.

1. It is an Altadis product and I don't like Altadis
2. Obviously it is a complete ripoff and an attempt to get unknowing smokers to buy their sticks
3. Did I mention that I don't like Altadis

I was given a sample of this stick by my Altadis rep last week and gave it to a customer without even trying it. I can do without this one.

I still retain the title of cigar nerd, but the blatant deceptive band and name just pissed me off. They are clearly relying on ignorance to boost their sales, the damn thing looks like a Cohiba and is called the Siglo series. They could at least TRY to cover up their evil ways. You know me, I will probably smoke one anyway.
