  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

The wrapper on the Hydes look and felt like leather to me. The Skinny is the same. It's a beautiful looking cigar. And the scent! Smells like hay, lemon, and vanilla. Cold draw has hay and some nutty sweetness.

First third. Cut and light... First puff is toasted almonds with a light, zesty lemon finish. Delicious from the start!

I really enjoyed the couple of Hydes I smoked last year. Once again though, the Skinnky is even better (in my opinion). Flavors are great and I love this petit lancero vitola.

A little peppery spice is coming in now. Just adding to the flavor party. Honestly, I'm loving the flavors and the feel of this cigar. Between that and the aroma it's kicking out, It's a great sensory experience!

Second third. The toasted almond sweetness as morphed into a leathery earthiness and the lemon finish has become more cedar like. Nice changes in the flavor profile as we move through the midway point of this stick.
As I move on in this midway point, the flavor fluctuation continues. The toasted almond comes back, now mixed with the earthiness and cedar. So good.

Final third. Hey, how come we don't refer to this third as the "third third"? Doesn't really roll off the tongue. Anyway, flavors are staying about the same. As the burn continues, there is a harshness. Slowing down on my draw times helps though.

Another perfectly constructed cigar. Razor sharp burn and not touch ups necessary. I'd really like to get a few more and the regular Hydes to smoke and compare. Overall, I'm leaning toward the petit lancero vitola though.

As of now, I've smoked Skinny Monsters: Tiff, Chuck, and Hyde. My favorites in order (so far) are:
1. Chuck
2. Hyde
3. Tiff
But all of these have been great!
Thanks for reading.
