Smoke one for my Granddad tonight

I just found out about an hour ago my granddad died. He fell last week and being already that he had a weak heart it was just too much for him. He was an inspiration in his spiritual life to me. Thanks Earl for you love and strength. Peace to my mom.

I am sorry to hear Brian. This summer I lost my grandfather to cancer. He went from normal to gone in less then 2 months. Like you he was a huge inspiration in my life. He stepped in the father role when my real dad decided to quit being a part of my life at the age of 5. Grandfathers seem to have unconditional love, and the knowledge they share is huge. I am the hardworking respectful man i am today because of him Right after he passed I was told that I needed to celebrate his life, and not dwell on the sadness too long. You must grieve, but do not get stuck there. Not much of a praying man, but your family is in my thoughts.
