But we had Irish twins, then we waited a few years and had a third, then we had our identical twins. I keep telling my wife we should shoot for fraternal twins for the hat trick, but she's not terribly enthusiastic about the idea

I don't know if I should congratulate you or submit your name for sainthood! My wife and I had three within a three year stretch (2 years apart and 1 year apart) and I immediately scheduled a vasectomy.
