  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Rock on!!!!...I will grab the spot...I don't need no stink'n sleep...Also, at Jeff's request I will also bring a watermelon and coleslaw!...Jeff is there anything else you don't like that I can bring?

Outstanding, I will bring my usual - shade, apples, cookies, salamwiches and firewood (and maybe even an empty wooden wine crate)

The “coleslaw and watermelon” was a joke that came from the NHRA Winternationals (That’s right, Michigan is not on the schedule) The “shade” is needed to reflect the intense So Cal sun (Don’t worry Brother, you folks will thaw out soon) I’ve never heard of a “Woman’s Book Club” starts at 4:30 am and goes till 10:00 pm. It’s obvious you have never tastes Jeff’s smoked Tri Tip or Pat’s homemade apple pie. On behalf of the entire SoCal Beach Herf crew, I would like to extend an invitation to you to catch a flight (if they can de-ice the plane) and join us in Laguna Beach for some great food, cigars and drink. Bawahahahahahahaha

Well said! The combination of Pat's apple pie and Chuck's striking resemblance to Sam Elliot is enough to make the trip worth it... Then you add in Jeff's Tri-tip and all the camaraderie? I am really bummed I am not going to make it this time.

I like having an apple to cleanse my palate when I smoke 5 cigars in one day. (But I may be the only one). I suppose chili makes a good palate cleanser too, but I don't eat it. The vegetables are a secret that only those that attend will ever know about. And thanks for reminding me about bringing cigars, I almost forgot. I actually know someone who did forget to bring cigars to a herf. It wasn't pretty.

Yeah here are some of the women's book club members that showed to past beach herfs...




of course this was a pretty bad year, the temperatures were only in the mid 70's
