  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

So I bought this piece of crap off ebay

Couldn't resist, bought it and tried it out. It proceeded to crush the cap. What a waste of 3 bucks, I could have bought a Gurkha from the devil site at a 300% discount instead.

BUmmer, I bought a pocket knife with ahole in the side of it, for a cutter. When you clodse the blade, it's supposed to cut the cap off the smoke. Yeah it'a about as sharp as a butter knife.

A guy that used to run his own cigar blog highly recommended these...I guess that's because they bought some advertising space on his blog...lol

I always figured these were for kids making blunts from cheap cigars. These are for real cigars? I've only seen the tiny hole on machine made cigars where they don't want the loose tobacco to fall out...

and the Don't smoke guy is a duche Spammer selling stop smoking crap. Ignore him he's gone shortly.

I have one on my keychain. I've noticed tar on connies but on the heavier sticks, so far so good. I usually smoke lfd's and they have a great wrapper and so far, no problems with the spike on them.

I tried these out and found that you have to REALLY moisten the cap to get them to work... then you have to poke in a star shape to get it open enough to smoke. When I used them it worked well enough to suffice if you had nothing else around but to be honest a key, a golf tee, etc.... would to about the same.

I heard a lot of people complain about it killing the caps on their cigars.

I've got one on my keychain, as well. As pointed out above, the cap needs to be moistened and CAREFULLY punched with the spike. It creates an amazing amount of draw for such a little opening.

I've had tar build up on an Oliva Connecticut - otherwise, I've not had any trouble with it.

If you've had troubles - give it another shot. Plus, it's handy on the keychain or wallet.

BTW - I don't work for CigarSpike nor do I have any connection to them.
