Where do I start? I am a life long Texan that has taken a job in Chicago. I have been up here for about a week. I am here about 6 months ahead of the wife and kids while they finish school. That of course leaves me a lot of down time. I am looking for advice on shops with lounges etc...I would like to meet up with some of the botl's of the midway. Let me know if any of you have suggestions or time for a smoke. Thanks!

BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Plainfield is south of you. It would be a 35-40 minute drive by expressway. 290 to 355 south to 55. PM when you would like to shoot out. Kockroach has and will be out again too when he is in town.

Yep, I have been down to the Leaf a number of times in the past month. It is about a 45-50 minute drive for me. I live on the north side of the city, near Loyola University (just a few blocks off of Lake Michigan). There are a number of great places around the city. Not exactly sure of what is directly around Schaumburg, but I would be more than happy to meet up with you! Definitely go to the Leaf if you have a chance. Great place...and a bunch of great guys down there.
There use to be the Havana House in Shaumburg but I think it's gone. There is Cigars & More in Libertyville. You're only about a half hour from me north of you and there is a pretty good shop, Kenny the King in Lakemoor. Cigary in Wilmette, Cigar King in Skokie. 8 to 8 I think is in St Charles which is about a half hour from you. PM me if you wan to hook up? I was thinking about getting out to Plainfield this weekend!

Yeah I don't know if there really is anything right there, damn damn!!! I'm having a hard time thinking of anything, I wouldn't purchase anything in Shaumburg anyway it's got an 11% sales tax!
I'm afraid to ask why but, my wife and kids are still at my addy for the next 5-6 months.

Also check out this site - www.cigarfriendly.us - buddy of mine runs it and I did a quick search and looks like there are 2 location near Schaumburg - one in Rolling Meadows and one in Itasca.

I spend quite a bit of time in Chicago on business...usually West of O'hare (Schaumburg, Itasca, Wood Field, etc). I got turned on to the Habana Cigar House by a brother here. It's a nice place - to smoke there you've gotta buy there. I took a client there one night, had a blast!
