I know that nobody here knows me very well, or at all for that matter, but I'm sure somebody will have some sympathy for what I am going through right now....I sold my 2002 Corvette Z06 this afternoon. We had a great couple years together and I'm going to miss her dearly. Where's a Padron when you need one!

Needed to pay off the rest of my college debt and put some money aside for when my wife and I have a real baby. The agreement before I bought it was that I would sell it when we decided to have a baby. The time has come, and she had to go. My wife is almost as sad as I am, and agreed that we can buy another in the future. I hear nothing is better than the first...

Soon, grasshopper, you will be driving a mini van and wonder why you ever wanted a corvette. :ccool:
So very true. Me I only have 1, my son is 3.5 and I refuse to do the minvan. Think its a matter of function, 2+ kids and the two sedans I tool around in would not do.

I hear you brother, I looove my cars. Had a Mercedes C280 (1996 W202 cassis - one of the best) that was rock solid and let her go because of impending kid and it was too small. Also had a 1999 BMW 323ic convertable which was meh but let her go too with impending child.

I did upgrade to my dream car, I'll try to be brief....1999 Mercedes E55. Less then 1600 worldwide production, completely hand build. 5.4L V8 351hp 391 torque. The car is a frig**n tank, crazy fast and super safe!

Best

i couldnt give in when me and my wife decided to have our first, i drive an 05 rubicon unlimited wrangler and my wife "had" a chevy cobalt ss until we got t-boned in it by a monte carlo. so when it came time to get a "family car" we finally decided on the 09 jeep grand cherokee SRT8 haha, mostly by my influence but she loves it to death and its really safe (and really really fast)

Yea, we had picked up a Trailblazer (not SS) for my family car a couple months ago while I found the right buyer for the 'vette. So far it has been ok. I like being higher off the ground, but it's just not as fun. Hopefully I never resort to a minivan. My parents had 4 when I was growing up and I just cannot see myself doing it.

We really didn't get the minivan until the third or forth time my wife got her butt soaked putting my son in the car seat of the subaru wagon we had at the time. (we did a lot of skiing). The kids are grown now and we could drive what we want, but she wanted a Ford Freestyle to haul groceries and plants etc, and I found a great deal on a Ford 500.

We both agree though, when the kids move out we are getting something fun to drive.

My remedy for having to sell 2002 Z/28 was a 2006 G35 sedan with manual and sport package. Fun, quick, comfy and practical. Gonna keep it till the wheels come off.

I wanted a mini van last year. Personally love them and it makes life easier with the kids. I'm old and married so I didn't care about looks as much as a better quality of life. The wife shot down the idea and now I drive 2010 4Runner.
