I woulda knocked that asshole out if I saw him doing that.
We have kids at the range that get a big charge outta hitting the rabbits on the range. If I'm around and see them doing it or trying, I usually walk over and politely say - "if you kill that rabbit, were gonna skin him right here and build a fire-then your'e gonna eat all of him. And if you don't I'm gonna shove whats left of him up your ass!". The teeny boys don't care much for me, they call me the dick Marshal. :disappoin

Honestly, who hasn't wanted to do something like that to a bird at one point. I'm not saying you wanted to kill it, but hit some golf balls at it. Dude's on the Nationwide Tour, not like he can hit what he aims at anyway.
Heck, I remember when I was a kid (Shut up Duane and Chuck) I got a new bee bee gun and took it to the back yard. I would hit the can every few shots and there was a bird on the wire that kept squawking. I took a shot at it and hit it. I didn't expect to hit it, and ran into the house after I saw it fall off. Now I was a kid and he's an adult, but I doubt the guy meant to hurt, much less kill, the bird.

That's aloowable, we've got our range kids trained to flash the hazards, if they get tagged. Hard enough to hit a static target much less a moving one.
A hawk, that's kinda the bad part. Now there are plenty of crows, coulda wacked one of those-and nobody would have missed those pesky bastards-cept his little crow family. A hawk is a pretty majestic bird. :disappoin
