  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I've used compressed air to blow out this MaxiJet, using good fuel (Xikar), the sucker just won't light. It's just outside if the 2-yr warrantee.

Ant tips?

From a you tube video it looks like there is a small machine screw at the base. Undo this screw (you'll need a machinist screwdriver set---- phillips) and check to see if the line is clogged. I dont trust Xikar fuel and my guess is there is a impurity clog in the inside fuel line. (I'm guessing you already purged it knowing you Nate...... ) Pull this line off the diaprham of the tank very carefully. Blow into it to dislodge the clog. It should do the trick. Youll actually see a tar like substance come out of the line. Then just replace the fuel line back to the way you found it. Ive actually fixed quite a few of the guys lighters at the Leaf by doing this over the last couple of years. DONT BREAK THE FUEL LINE THAT CONNECTS THE TANK AND THE TORCH HEAD!
