  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

You dirty rats, you killed my lubba!

You killed my love of the big girth sticks!

I've heard it said time and again how the flavor of a stick is in the wrapper. While not discounting this, for whatever reason, I have always been partial to a larger RG. Perhaps it was as someone noted in a recent post that this penchant for this has to do with one's physical size. Who knows, and besides, that's not the point of this post.

Yesterday, having met all the Mother's Day obligations, I resigned myself to a short smoke. Never having had a Dirty Rat I figured what better time. Having smoked all of the other LP sticks I knew I would not be disappointed. What I did not expect was to have my socks rolling up and down!

From clip to nub, this was a tremendous experience. This was a down right flavor bomb. It was all I could do not to hot box this smoke.

I just placed an order for five more and I'm telling you, if they smoke as good as this one did, this will become my lunch time smoke. This stick replaces the Padron No. 35 and AF Short Story in the short smoke category in my books.

My only regret are these...

WHY IN THE HELL DID I WAIT SO LONG TO TRY THIS STICK?

I am glad these don't come in the "nickel bag" or "lid" variety (did I just date myself or what?)

I had this stick when I first stared smoking. Didn't like it for two reasons.1) I thought it burned way too hot. Now I know I was most likely smoking way too fast. And 2) the flavor never changed. See above. And also I smoked it in the B&M. I have heard they are totally different at lower RH.
it might be time for me to revisit this one.

Love the rats! Am envious of brothers who can smoke 'em daily. 'Round here, they're pretty hard to get. Fat rats? Can't wait to try!
