  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I know it's a ways out, but I'll be going up to Dallas area (Garland) to visit my Aunt a night before I fly home for vacation. Just figured, that while I'm thinking about it right now before I go to sleep, that I would start a thread and see who all in that area would be interested. We can go wherever is convenient for the majority, since I'll be down for whatever. It'll give my Aunt some alone time with my son, and my wife already gave me the go ahead.

So gentlemen, where's a good place to meet up, smoke, and have a few drinks up in the DFW area?

Of course I am going to pull for my local, but, they are in euless and will only be open until 6pm. Spanky will more than likely pull for Elite, but the time I went there, they were very crowded and loud. It could have been a fluke, since it was Thursday night football when I went...

Now, on the garland side of things, you might want to speak with Spanky, as he would have more information on that. Just my $.02 worth.

Don't think garland has shit honestly. There's a small pipe/smoke shop off plano but that's more Richardson? Elite has a small shop in off garland Avenue that I've never been too. And yes, it was a fluke, the main shops never that loud on non football days.

Well I'll be up in DFW area most of the day, so whatever time is fine. Euless isn't that far away. I mean, I'm already driving up from Killeen so what's another 30 minutes? Same thing goes for Plano/Richardson… My mom used to live in Richardson so the only thing about that is I kind of know the area a little. Depending on what time I can get my dog into the Kennel, and how quickly my wife moves, I could theoretically be in DFW area around lunch...

Both of those work. I would like to try and get up there a few times before and after I go on vacation. It's really not that far of a drive, although Austin is probably where I'll end up going more solely because my wife likes it there.

That works too. If you're completely sure I'll talk to the wife about coming, she takes some talking to for her to meet new people lol. My son just loves attention ahahaa

I am completely sure, how old is your son? We have an 11 year old and 4 year old (5 by that date) at the house. In sure there will be a 3 year old girl here as well.

My son will be about 16 months old by March. My wife was surprisingly easy to talk into this lol. She's glad I've found a constructive hobby and met good people, and she likes that she can be included lol.
