  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Nice sunny day here in VA, temp in the low 60's as the sun is going down so time to smoke.

I had one stick in the 5 count so this was the chosen one. It is an unbanded T110. The Box code is 19 ENE 10, so a year and 2 months now. The T110 is an all ligero cigar that was released beginning in July 2009 and was made available at different times over the next several month. The T110 is 4.5 x 52, so a nice hour plus smoke as the sun sets.

Prelight is a cedar/cocoa flavor, you can tell it has some pepper and spice right away. The cigar is very appealing to the eye. Nice, dark, natural wrapper to it, with a few small veins.

Once lit, the cigar is producing a nice amount of smoke, slightly on the tightish side. A very upfront cedar, pepper, spice that Pepin is so good at. The burn at first was a little funky and not quite as even as I would have expected for a stick that sat still that long.

As I hit the halfway point, the burn line has evened out so really nothing to worry about. Producing a good amount of smoke and has turned in to a floral type of spice but still is heavy on the black pepper via retrohale. This is not a cigar I would retrohale more than a dozen times. Not because of the burn through the nose, but more so the flavors of this cigar hit the tongue to me.

Rounding out the finish of this cigar, it is just more of the same, but in a good way. Flavors are very up front and a lot of nicotine going on. I wouldn't say it is overly complex but it is very enjoyable. As I got near the nub of it I picked a bit of dark chocolate and then some bitterness as it burned the fingers :eyebrow:.

As good as it was I still think it is still got some time to peak yet. The strength is great, but I can't wait to smoke this cigar in another 3-4 years! I think some of the strength may give way to the flavor as well as the draw opening up a little bit.

I have not found these to be quite to my liking yet. I picked up 4 boxes of the OR release and have sold or gifted all but my one last box. I still think that age will be good to them but they don't fit my flavour profile now.

Oh yeah and by the way I am giving you 2 thumbs up on making it that deep into the nub without a roach clip of some kind. And just how many boxes of these have you had float through your humi? :)
