  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I'll leave most of this up to the rest of the folks, but here's some highlights:

Bahama Breeze on the causeway has the best damn Mojitos.

The Balconies at the Hotel Steve picked are ALMOST big enough for a full poker table and 5 players.

I apparently can't play poker worth a damn! :rolling:

Steve's a good luck charm when it comes to meeting Cigar people.

Arturo Fuente Jr. (Actually AF III) is an amazingly accomodating man and I had no idea he and his family's business was based out of Ybor City.

King Corona Cigar Shop and Cafe is about the perfect place to eat and smoke in Ybor City. Not sure how they get around it, but they serve excellent Cuban food and you can smoke there.

Cigar Castle in Tampa (where Pharmgator is now a member) has the best stocked humidor I've ever seen anywhere. And even though their is a drive through liquor store attached to the same building, you can't bring in alcohol.

Steve dreams of big men.

Pictures from Josh and Ray and Steven to come...

Sounds like an extremely fun place filled with great people and fine smokes. A man cannot ask for more than that. Gotta see pics!

Well, I unfortunately was not able to meet up with the guys. My wife was, to put it delicately, feeling ill and not able to take the girls to lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table and then to the Bipiddi, Bopiddi Boutique for hair, nails and make up. We checked out the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot the night before, and I think it was something she ate, or the wine she was drinking. I don't know, but she was in a bad way. Thankfully she was feeling better late last night, but was pissed she didn't get to see the girls get their hair done.

So I wound up taking them instead. I felt very bad about bailing out on the guys, especially since it seems they played poker:angryteet . But I wouldn't have deprived the girls of this experience for anything. I'll post up a few pictures later of what I was doing while you guys were smoking all of the cigars I sent to Jason. I hope you enjoyed them!! Looks like you guys had a fun time. One of these days I'm going to get together with you Florida boys. I can't believe I was an hour away and couldn't hook up!!!!!

I was really looking forward to herfing with you too. Family first though. But don't think, for one minute, that you are going to get off light for destroying us with cigars of that magnitude.

Yeah, that is one of the things that really sucked Kevin. We originally didn't plan on getting all that much poker in, but we ended up playing quite a bit. Friday night we played a game out on the balcony of Steve's Hotel room (the fold out table is Ray's personal hand made design) after wich I dropped off Josh and went home to spend some time with the wife while Steve and John went to close down the poker room at the Hard Rock.
Saturday we ended up at Castle Cigar in Tampa around 5 or so to find that their were two full size poker tables in the members section of the club. Thankfully I had my chips stashed in the trunk. Two games quickly ensued. Steve meant to hit one of the local poker rooms after we split up but apparently the day's activities wore him out more than expected and he never awoke from his "nap". Hehehe.
Sunday Steven and I met up at Castle Cigar again for their Sunday TailGate to watch the Bucs get their arses handed to them and I played two short handed tournaments there. The first of which I won, the second of which I came in second. I'll post up pictures once the event host gets them up on their web site.
