  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Tat? Custom rolled in Nicaragua as I smoke

I went to Nicaragua with Pete (Tatuaje) back in March with some great guys from BOTL here. We each got to roll a cigar. I have had it sitting in mu hum since then. I decided to fire it up tonight. Not sure what it is. Pretty sure it is a broadleaf wrapper. What the filler and binder are is a mystery. I'm sure Pete would know as maybe some other brothers.

I must say it is a little cherry bomb, with lots of smoke. Not much spice at all. Defiantly not like other Tats I have smoked. Maybe like a My father with a broadleaf wrapper?

This cigar has REALLY mellowed down. The burn has been fantastic. There is so much smoke. It is really sweet. The wife who is sitting next to me says, "Wow, your cigar smells sweet".

The cigar has a "cola" like essence. It is very similar to the Boris.

Nice ash!

I want a bundle! :)

Thanks for the info, always interesting to see a one off stick review, esp when you did it your self :)

That's so cool! What a special cigar, and it sounds like you rolled yourself a good one too! I love high-quality sweet cigars.

I seem to remember it being a habano wrapper (I could be wrong) - I recall asking about it because I had a few sticks with busted wrappers that they re-wrapped for me.

Any verdict? It doesn't really matter either way - It's such a special stick to me - I don't know when/if I'll ever put fire to it... Perhaps when/if I go back!

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's not broadleaf... I think AJ is right.

So what made you smoke it tonight? Anything special or did you just finally say enough's enough and lit the damn thing? I will have to smoke mine pretty soon too! Thanks for posting :)

Awesome...I can't wait to go to Nicaragua and roll one for myself. Maybe someday.

Ya I agree...This would be a great trip. It would be so hard for me to smoke that one off cigar though....I would love to be able to make one and have a box of them rolled at the same time to actually get to smoke.

Yeah, the more I smoked it I knew it was not. It was too smooth and red to be broadleaf. No, just another night, the start of my 5 day weekend? Just thought I'd reach in and put flame to it.
