  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

This cigar had a beautiful dark wrapper with a nice black band to compliment it. The ash was stacked, grey in color, and decently sturdy ashing only a few times throughout the smoke. The draw was smooth and perfect, maintaining just enough resistance to put out hoards of thick aromatic smoke. The cigar burned relatively even, but I had to re-light the edges a couple of times, and it went out on me a couple of times towards the end. The “Cigar Aficionado” first three puffs of this cigar were absolutely phenomenal, filling my mouth with a full bodied earthy flavor with hints of bold roasted coffee beans. After that it began to mellow into what reminded me of drinking a nice cup of strong dark coffee with hints of cocoa for most of the smoke. There were a few bitter spots towards the last inch of the smoke, but nothing that lingered or made me feel any less satisfied by this cigar. The last inch of the cigar it seemed to move back into its pure earthy core, which left a nice cubanesque flavor on my palate the rest of the afternoon. I thought it finished nicely. I am looking forward to getting my hands on more of these cigars, because of all the great cigars I have smoked lately, this is the cigar I believe has the most potential to become an absolute classic!:hearteyes

Give it some time Luke.. It will get better, but not sure how much. Nice review!

I'm a little behind too in reviews thanks to some work reports that need to be done now! hehe. I'll catch up.

Cole... from one NorCal BOTL to another. Where is your shop as my guy here says he's not going to get any and I will take the wife to the Galleria for a chance at a couple of those sticks.
