Construction: The Cojuno 2006 is outfitted with a gorgeous reddish-brown wrapper showing very little veins.
It's densely packed, yet has a nice sponginess to it. It did have some burn problems in the first half.
The prelight flavor is that of a woody/earthy flavor with a pepper note.
1/3: Right off the bat the cigar smacks you with that familiar spice and pepper. It is a nice leathery smoke and has just the right amount of resistance on the draw.
2/3: The Tatuaje Cojuno 2006 really begins to take off right about the 2/3 point. I got flavors of wood, tea and leather. All the while the spice/pepper mellows into the background.
3/3: The cigar picks up more of the spice at this point. It has a delicious flavor of tea and leather.
Overall: A great medium-bodied smoke with complex flavors made up of wood, tea, leather, and pepper. It did have some burn issues in the first half of the cigar, though it wasn't nothing my Vector Perdomo couldn't handle. The ash was a little flakey but for the most part would stay on for about an inch.
Pete Johnson does it again! I'll be buying more of these.
