To set this up I must tell you I was in the mist of doing Brent (bdc30) a fav by running to my local B&M at 8:30 in the morning because they only had two of these items left and I just needed to get out of the house for a bit. My wife had to be at the Hospital for knee surgury by noon so I wanted to get back home by 9-9:30 to have my smoke and relax before the long day ahead. Anyway, I get to my B&M, get the items, and even though I really didn't need to I walked in the humi. I had $15 bucks on me and the two items were $3 bucks total so that gave me $12. I pretty much know everything he has in there so I wasn't expexted to be surprised. He doesn't carry alot of the higher end stuff and certainly HTF stuff. After looking around I see that he had gotten a few new box's. (Tat Miami's/Brown Lable) and there was a box of Especiales. My jaw dropped. they were marked 9.50ea so I had to have one. I've never had one of these and always been curious. I leave the B&M with 2 bucks in my pocket, hit Speedway for a soda, and came home with two quarters and change in my pocket...It was a very good morning!
On to the review!!

To be honest I'm not much of a Lancero guy. To me a cigar is supposed to feel like a cigar. Meaning when you hold it...you know there's a cigar there.
But on occation I do like a good tasting Lance and this is one I've been wanting to try for some time.
After cutting with my Xikar and searing the foot I took my first draw. I was surprised by how light the first draw tasted. Usualy with the brown label Tat's your hit with alot of white peper but this was mild.
I let it burn about a quarter inch before I made any assesment on flavor. My tougue was still picking out the white pepper but it was very creamy and earthy. After about an inch the flavor was really coming out. I could not place my finger on it though.

White pepper, creamyness, earth, and something else like maybe carmel but I'm not sure. In the nose on the exhale I got that signature raisin sweet scent. I'm really enjoying this better than most of the other brown lables.
The draw is perfect which is surprising as well. Most Lances I feel are to tight. The ash is nice and tight and the burn is perfect.
Getting into the middle of this smoke the flavors were very consistant. To me there were no flavor changes as it just layed out all the flavors in unison perfectly.

Getting into the final half of this cigar I noticed the wrapper was splitting just below the band. I had noticed a small tear in the leaf when I lit it up but didn't think much about it. My only gripe with the brown lable line, with this wrapper, is how easily they tear or get damaged. Seems to be par for these cigars in my opinion but that doesn't mean there a bad smoke by any means.

Getting down to the band the tear has now gotten larger and it's getting a bit hot. The flavors are still consistant and I'm really enjoying this smoke nothing less. Removing the band carefully I continue to smoke keeping an eye on the tear. At about just under an inch the cigar is just getting to hot to handle and is actually hot on the lips when drawing in. Time to put it down!

My final thought on this was just what I thought it would be...perfect!
really enjoyed the smoking time of almost 1 hour and 45 minutes. Loved the strength of flavors it had to offer. Just a very enjoyable Lance cigar. It was almost like smoking this cigar today was ment to happen. If you've never had one I would highly recommend giving these a try. Even a $9.50 it beat out others I've spent for the same price by far.
Thanks for reading!
Oh-Yeah...The wife is doing just fine. It was a long day for sure!
