I enjoyed this cigar last night with some Fly Dog Double Dog IPA, strong cigar for a strong beer. Let me start by saying that the conde 109 vitola is exactly how Rick says, a nice celebratory smoke! So I was celebrating the moment. I previously smoked the rosado version of this and loved it until the last 3rd in which the cigar must have been a bit wet still because it tunneled and became bitter but I am optimistic and it will be stellar in a month. Anyway back to the reserva.
The CB wrapper takes the original blend to a whole different level of chewy leathery rich tobacco flavors. You catch the floral notes and the spice and raisin/dry fruit. These cigars are stellar can't wait to try them in a month or two. Burned perfect the entire time not a single touch up required and the volumes of smoke were incredible. Definitely worth the chase on this one!
