I haven't been able to get out and enjoy the fine weather we've been having as much as I'd have liked to. It's been gorgeous considering there's usually snow or ice on the ground this time of year. Yesterday I was able to get out of the house for a while with my son and go for a stroll. Could resist firing up one of the cigars that CO Smokes sent me...
Great looking cigar...light chocolate wrapper with darker darker veins tracing all over. Didn't get a whole lot off the pre-light, just a little sweetness and some light cocoa. Cap cut easy, cold draw was just a little loose. Nice lightly sweet tobacco, a little cocoa, and some pepper. Fired up easy enough with a little persuasion from my Ronson. My son mounted his trike and away we went. Draw was impeccable as the cigar billowed smoke. Burn was near perfect and the ash layered beautifully. Started off with some cocoa and pepper. Pepper died down in the middle then came back a little in the end. Also got flirting notes of a nuttiness and some leather. Middle of the cigar was dominated by cocoa and some woodiness. Overall a very enjoyable cigar. I know what some of you are undoubtedly wondering and I have no idea how it compares to the original...I came to the cigar game a little late for that release. But if they were like these, then I'm sure they were (and are for those that are left) fantastic! One small complaint...I'm not really a fan of how these were released. The 10 count sampler boxes are nice, don't get me wrong. However, it makes it hard to purchase a substantial amount if you prefer one in particular.
