I'm cheating here, I cut and pasted this from CP. Sorry about that, but I'm all typed out!!!
The first thing that really jumps out at me is that this thing is sticky. You can see the oils and you know that this thing is going to be great. It's a bit larger than I usually smoke (6 ½ x 60) and I was content on letting this sit for awhile, but curiosity got the best of me and I burned it up tonight.
First apperance, it's very oily. Medium to dark brown color and very well constucted. Slighly bumpy, but otherwise flawless. Has a pleseant smell to it.
Pre light draw was inviting. Very slight tobacco taste, subtle anise and a hint of caramel.
Lighting this was very easy. The wrapper extends past the foot giving it a little extra ease in getting this monster lit. I appreciated this alot since I am running low on butane. I had a very intense blast of pepper and spice for the first few puffs, but that quickly mellowed out into a superb bittersweet chocolate taste. It was a very nice compliment to the cup of coffee I had brought out to drink.
Hitting the halway mark, I was expecting it to evolve into something else, but it hadn't. But that's okay with me because I had been enjoying the bittersweet chocolate taste and wasn't ready to give that up. Rounding off the the last third of the cigar it did pick up a bit and I was tasting caramel and the spice started to pick up again...but not alot like in the begining.
The finish was long and quite flavorfull. I think the sugars were really starting to burn up in the finish giving it a real caramalized taste to it. Not sweet, but really enjoyable.
According to the Tatuaje site, this paticular vitola comes 12 to a box. I would really like to pick up a box and see what a couple of years would do to it.
