  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

All Tobacco is 1st Generation Cuban Seed Grown in Nicaragua.
Cigars are rolled in classic Cuban tradition by Master Rollers in Little Havana Miami, FL U.S.A. Headed by Maestro Tobaquero Jose Garcia.
Cigars are rolled with a beautiful Cuban triple-cap and are Medium to Full in flavor.

This cigar to me has almost the same flavor profile as the Cojonu 03, only not as rich. I have smoked probibly half a dozen of these but for the cost I still have to give it up to the 03 Cojonu...but again there two different cigars. Even so, If I could, I'd stock this in my humidor constantly.
As aways I cut just the cap off and tap lightly. After burning the covered foot I take back the scent befor I take my first inhale. For it's size it is very light in weight and this cigar is not tight rolled at all. In fact the draw in my opinion is too easy for this big cigar. If your not carefull you'll take in to much smoke to really enjoy in my opinion. Again, it is a very light in the hands and the draw is effortless for a large cigar. All the ones I've had have been the same in this manner.
The First quarter inch of this is a bit harsh as the smoke tends to over power the flavor. It's not peppery to me in any way, just real earthy. After about an inch is when you can really pick up the hint of flavors. To me as with all the Cojonu series the smoke is constant in flavors threw out the intire smoke. I never get any changes after a quarter or a third or even a half. It's just good and constant. I think because of the way it's packed burn issues can be a poblem.

The hint of flavors on this can range from strong earth to leather and very dark coffee. There is some sweetness to it but I can't put my finger on it...however, it's there. The burn is quick and the ash is very flakey and falls constantly which is a pain. I hate babysitting an ash but the cigar is good which overwieghs the issue(just keep the ashtray very handy). Delving deeper into this cigar the burn issue corrects itself but because of the ash issue it needs to be touched up here and there.

Once your into the final third of this cigar you will notice the clock has not moved to much for a cigar of this size. It actually takes less than two hours for me without effort.
This is deffinatly one cigar I smoke to the nub as far as I can. It seems to pick up it's flavor as it burns away making it an enjoyable smoke.
All in all it ranks up there for thoes of you who enjoy the Cojonu line of Tats.
It's nice for a change of pace and you still feel you get what you payed.
I say give it a go if you can find one!!

Thanks for the review. I've been meaning to pick up a couple of the Gran Cojonus. It's a beast of a stick @ 6x60 though!
