  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Tatuaje Havana VI Angeles - June 07
Country of Origin: Nicaragua
Wrapper: Habano Ecuador
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua
Length: 4 5/8"
Ring: 42

I decided to see how these little guys have come around through the years on my way home from work. Unfortunately, it started to get dark and my cell phone can't take a decent picture in the dark. I wasn't able to capture the nubbin' action, but this stick was definitely nibbingly good.

It started right off the bite with some serious spice. Beyond that, I could taste some sweet cedar and slight citrusy tart undertones. What a way to get things started!
After the initial blast, the spice began to mellow out just a bit. The cedar, citrus, and tart notes were allowed to come out a bit more. About half an inch in and I start getting some light floral notes in the aftertaste. The spice on this little stick is the lingering kind as well. Nothing but goodness so far

As I smoke further through, the spice continues to mellow out, but always lets you know it's there. The intensity of the sweet cedar remained constant through the entire smoke. The citrus and floral notes became slightly more prominent as I got closer and closer to the end. The smoke never became harsh. Towards the end, the spice increased in intensity, but not like in the beginning. There was a great balance of flavors. Time has been nothing but good to this stick. For a $4-5 smoke, this was quite simply incredible. Complexity, power, perfect burn - this had it all. If anyone has the control to give these a little time, I definitely recommend it. Otherwise, you could always just buy more than you can smoke in 3 years.
Thanks for reading!

I've smoked about five of these in the last couple or so weeks, I love 'em, to say the least! Gotta' love the leathery profile.

Thanks for the review! I smoked one of these during spring break, and it was awful. Tasted like bleach. I was very surprised, but I think its an isolated case. I love Tats, so im sure it was one that just "got away"
