At @herfdog's urging I am doing a review as well
Prelight smells of barnyard and cocoa and just intoxicating. Wrapper is a dark espresso collar. Tons of sparkly broadleaf goodness.
After lighting the first couple puffs are just pure chocolate and I think a lot comes from the extra wrapper being burned off the closed foot.
Paired with some Eagle Rare while watching game 6 of the Caps/Rangers.
First third continues with a ton of chocolatey goodness with a little spice now. A little breadiness with a creamy buttery mouthfeel. It's a thick luxurious smoke. About an inch in the lingering 80 heat and Eagle Rare is making me sweat a little. Burn isn't razor sharp by any means but evens out if left to rest a fair amount between puffs. Draw is a little loose even with a punch cut but still producing tons of white billowing smoke. Ash is holding well but looks like it's trying to grow wings with it fraying out. Ash fell before could get a shot.
Have had the J21 and Regios Reserva and just didn't do it for me. The PCR is the TAT I like the best but this is phenomenal. Have had resting for 5 months and dry boxed for 2 days.
Retro brings some spicy breadiness.
2nd third continues much the same with the the spice picking up a little but still mainly chocolate bliss and the creaminess is outstanding. It amazes me that the ash even sparkles. Damn ash keeps falling before I can get a good shot though.
On a side note, I refuse to let how the game was going affect my experience and review.
Started to tunnel and required a relight just after the ash fell again with about 2.5" left but picking right back up where it left off. On another side note the game is picking up with 2 Cap goals.
Final 3rd the breadiness really picks up and the spice does again but just a tad.
Needed another relight with about 2" left. Started getting pretty hot and and a little harsh at about 1.5".
Set it down with just over an inch left and right after the Caps let down. Total smoke time about 95 minutes.
Phenomenal smoke.
